Meet & Greet with Congressman Ed Royce at KV Kumar’s home at Yorba Linda

On Saturday, November 22, 2014, Ed Royce, who is Chairman of the Committee on Foreign Affairs and 11th term in Congress, representing Southern California's 39th district based in Orange, Los Angeles and San Bernardino Counties, was honored by NRI entrepreneurs for his services to American society, NRI/Asian community and a very staunch supporter of India in the U.S. Congress at the residence of KV & Vijaya Kumar 4820 Via Del Corral Yorba Linda, CA 92887.

Ed Royce was responsible for building the India Caucus from a handful of members in the India Caucus to over 160 members today. Congressman Ed Royce’s contributions are too numerous to list.

“I really appreciate your contributions include achievements in the fields of political and social ideology, language, medicine, mathematics, science; foods, agricultural processing techniques and transportation technology,” said Ed Royce in his speech. “I also appreciate President Obama who has accepted an invitation to attend Indian Republic Day as the Chief Guest is a very welcome development. The President’s visit could be another important step in getting this relationship back on track, following Prime Minister Modi’s very successful trip to the U.S., which I had the honor of being a part of, including welcoming the Prime Minister to Congress.”The role of the India Caucus in the transformation of India-U.S. relations over the last two decades, which he described as "phenomenal" and "based on same interests and values.

The expanding of India-U.S. trade relations and counter-terrorism cooperation is among his priorities, and he specifically commended the role of the Indian American community in building a closer India-U.S. partnership with their talent and determination.

As a senior member of the House Financial Services Committee, Royce sits on two Subcommittees: Capital Markets and Government Sponsored Enterprises, and Insurance and Housing. Royce's priorities in Congress are: addressing our national debt, protecting our homeland, eliminating pork-barrel spending, fighting crime and supporting victims of crime, strengthening education for all students, spurring job creation and strengthening Social Security and Medicare
