SIKH ELECTED LEADER ANAHEIM MAYOR PRO TEM HARRY SIDHU EXPRESSES
DEEP SYMPATHY AND CONDOLENCES IN AFTERMATH OF WISCONSIN SIKH TEMPLE TRAGEDY
Anaheim, California, Aug 07, 2012
Anaheim, CA – As a member of the Southern California Sikh faith-based community, Anaheim Mayor Pro Tem Harry Sidhu today expressed on behalf of himself and his family deep sympathy and condolences to all who were impacted by the devastating shooting which took place yesterday at the Sikh Temple in Oak Creek, Wisconsin.
“At this time of mourning and sadness in the Sikh community, let us all come together in thoughtful prayer and healing in memory of those lost to this tragedy, along with the survivors,” said Mayor Pro Tem Sidhu. “This was an unthinkable act of violence at a peaceful place of worship. We all share grief and concern for the victims and their loved ones, and grateful appreciation for the efforts of law enforcement and the first responders who so valiantly assisted those in need.”
Throughout the United States, special services will be taking place at Sikh Temples – spiritual centers known as Gurdwaras, to which all are welcome. “This offers a meaningful opportunity to join together in compassionate fellowship, and I hope many will attend,” added Mayor Pro Tem Sidhu.
