On Tuesday, March 1, Mayor Pro Tem Harry Sidhu was honored to deliver the “Official Welcome” at the 34th Annual California Police Chiefs Association Training Symposium on behalf of the City of Anaheim and his City Council colleagues - Mayor Tom Tait and Council Members Lorri Galloway, Gail Eastman, and Kris Murray.

Governor Jerry Brown, Attorney General Kamala Harris, and Anaheim Police Chief John Welter joined in the opening ceremonies which featured a “Fallen Officers Tribute.” More than 200 California Police Chiefs were among the 800 event attendees at the Disneyland Hotel Grand Ballroom.

“As law enforcement professionals, the various cities you represent count on you to protect and keep them safe,” said Mayor Pro Tem Sidhu. “And, this year’s event theme – “Community, Opportunity and Preparedness,” demonstrates your commitment to making a pro-active, meaningful difference in your cities.”

“Your elected officials and the communities you serve rely on you to explore new ideas and find new ways to continue to police effectively,” further stated Mayor Pro Tem Sidhu. “The presentations and discussions at this conference will help you do that. I want to thank you in advance for the attention you give to your profession over the next three days. I personally recognize your service and dedication as law enforcement professionals.”
