Shawn Steel Endorses Harry Sidhu for OC Supervisor

Anaheim, California, March 06, 2010

(Anaheim, CA) – Today, Republican National Committeeman and former California Republican Party Chairman Shawn Steel announced his endorsement of Anaheim Mayor Pro Tem Harry Sidhu for Orange County’s open 4th District Supervisor seat. Shawn Steel joins the influential California Republican Assembly, along with OC Board of Supervisors Chair Janet Nguyen, Vice Chair Bill Campbell, Board of Equalization Member Michelle Steel, Anaheim Mayor Curt Pringle, and many other prominent leaders, in supporting Sidhu for Supervisor.

“Harry Sidhu is the one candidate that won’t raise taxes and won’t expand government spending,” said Shawn Steel. “We need someone willing to tame this beast called government growth, and Harry is the guy I trust to cut government down to size. I urge all fiscal conservatives in Orange County to join me in supporting Harry for 4th District Supervisor.”
As National Committeeman, Shawn Steel is the California Republican Party delegate to the Republican National Committee. He is one of the most respected conservative voices in California, and he has been the driving force behind the election of dozens of Republicans to local and state office.

“I am honored to have the important endorsement of a leader such as Shawn Steel,” stated Mayor Pro Tem Sidhu.
Mayor Pro Tem Harry Sidhu was first elected to the Anaheim City Council in 2004 and was overwhelmingly re-elected to a second term in 2008. On the council, he quickly established a reputation as a tough-minded advocate for streamlined, efficient government and as a champion of small business. Harry also ensured the protection of property rights through the successful passage of a City Charter Amendment prohibiting eminent domain abuse. As a local business owner, he employs over 120 people with sales of close to $5 million a year.
