Vice Chairman Bill Campbell of OC Board of Supervisors Endorses
Anaheim Mayor Pro Tem Harry Sidhu for Supervisor

Anaheim, California, February 12, 2010
Tim Clark

The campaign of Anaheim Mayor Pro Tem Harry Sidhu received a big boost today with the endorsement of Supervisor Bill Campbell, Vice Chairman of the Orange County Board of Supervisors. Following his recent announcement of campaign funds that have been raised, this endorsement by Vice Chairman Campbell clearly establishes Mayor Pro Tem Harry Sidhu as the front-runner in the 4th District Supervisor race.

Vice Chairman Bill Campbell’s endorsement comes on the heels of recent campaign finance reports, where Harry Sidhu’s campaign finished 2009 with over $210,000 cash on hand – a total that was more than double that of his closest competitor.

“I admire Harry Sidhu’s strong business sense and his commitment to improving Orange County’s economic climate,” said Vice Chairman Campbell. “Harry is a true American success story, and he is the right candidate who believes in easing tax burdens and reducing government regulations that are strangling businesses as they try to grow and create jobs. He is the only candidate with the real world experience we need to improve the economy and create jobs in Orange County. I am proud to give him my endorsement and support.”

Long considered one of Orange County’s most influential leaders, Vice Chairman Campbell was first elected to the Board of Supervisors in 2003. He served two terms as Chairman of the Board of Supervisors. From 1996 to 2002, Campbell served in the California State Assembly, where he served as Assembly Republican Leader.

"I am honored to have Bill Campbell’s endorsement and support,” Sidhu stated. “We share common business sense in finding solutions for streamlining government.”

“Harry Sidhu is quickly outpacing potential opponents for this open seat,” said Sidhu spokesman Tim Clark. “With strong fundraising totals in what is a difficult year to raise money, Harry is already well positioned for victory.”

Mayor Pro Tem Harry Sidhu was first elected to the Anaheim City Council in 2004 and was overwhelmingly re-elected to a second term in 2008. On the council, he quickly established a reputation as a tough-minded advocate for streamlined, efficient government and as a champion of small business. Harry also ensured the protection of property rights through the successful passage of a City Charter Amendment prohibiting eminent domain abuse. As a local business owner, he employs over 120 people with sales of close to $5 million a year.
