Business owner Navraj Singh (R) is challenging incumbent Congressman Brad Sherman (D) in the Northridge and Sherman Oaks District. Previous opponents have found that it is almost impossible to defeat Sherman, who knows this district like the palm of his hand

In the 27th Congressional District, which covers part of Los Angeles County and takes in a large portion of the San Fernando Valley and Burbank, Sherman was unopposed in the Democratic primary.

His challengers in the general election will be Republican restaurateur and businessman Navraj Singh, who faced no opponent in the GOP primary, and Libertarian candidate Tim Denton, a biology professor.
