Victory for Congressman hopeful Mr. Navraj Singh in next elections
for California’s 27th district seems imminent. At a fundraiser
recently Mr. Singh’s supporters were delighted to talk and
share thoughts with Congressman Buck McKeon via live stream from
Washington D.C. Endorsing Singh, McKeon was very hopeful that the
‘ideals of Mr. Singh’ that impressed him would serve
well to his constituents. He broke the news, to the dismay of the
audience, of GOP’s defeat in the house pertaining to the Healthcare
Reform bill. But, promised the supporters to work even harder when
‘Mr. Singh’ came into office.
Several dignitaries from San Fernando Valley attended Sunday’s
fundraiser. Powerhouse and prominent community leader of the Indian
origin, Mr. Inder Singh, reminded the attendees of the struggles
of Indian community in the US political arena. Lending his support,
he said Singh was an honest man and deserved to be the next Congressman.
Dr. Piara Singh expressed his concerns with regards to Sikhs and
discrimination against them due to mistaken identity. He was optimistic
that with ‘Singh in Congress’ not only Sikhs but people
of Indian origin would have a fair representation.
Navraj Singh thanked Mrs. Patricia
McKeon’s comforting remarks and his friends and shared his
views of ‘Preserving the American Dream’. He was critical
of the current government’s unrelenting push for Healthcare
option and overspending. He promised to work and bring reforms that
would inculcate smaller governments, personal responsibility and
business opportunities for creating more jobs.
