BIO:
Amrit Mangat came to Canada in 1992 and she worked as a teacher
in India. She attained certification by the Ontario College of
Teachers and began teaching part-time while simultaneously managing
several small businesses. A former high school teacher, she is
an advocate for children’s safety and the best education
for our children.
As a business woman she is committed to a strong local economy,
a greener environment and assisting new Canadians. She firmly
believes in continuing the progress that the McGuinty government
has made in these areas.
Currently, she is an office administrator in a law firm, helping
new Canadians settle and prosper in Ontario.
Amrit has been active in the community, volunteering for various
organizations including the Rotary Club and the India Rainbow
Community Services of Peel.
She has been a resident of Brampton for the past six years.
Amrit holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science, a Master's degree in Economics, a Bachelor's in Education, and a Master's in Education.
Mangat lives in Peel Region with her husband, Dr. J. S. Mangat, a prominent lawyer
