Malabar Gold to open its 11th
showroom

Malabar Gold, the leading jeweler, is to open its 11th showroom
on Thursday May 18.
The showroom located at Fortune Building at Falnir road, will be
inaugurated by Malayalam cine actor Mohan Lal.
This was disclosed by Malabar Group of Companies Chairman M P Ahmed
in a press meet on Monday.
The showroom plans to showcase extensive collections of jewellery
in gold, platinum and diamonds from India as well as across the
globe, featuring international brand names such as Rado, Omega,
Tissot and Longines.
The company was launched with alliance of certain NRIs
in 1993. It plans to have around 18 branches by end of 2006.
Malabar Gold has already opened outlets in Bangalore, Hyderabad,
Calicut, Tirur, Kannur, Thalassery, Kasargod, Palakkad, Manjeri
and Thrissur.
Showrooms at Trivandrum, Ernakulam, Kodungallur, Badagara, Perinthalmanna,
Sultan Battery and Kanhangad, are also on the anvil, shortly, he
said.

Malabar Gold on Thursday announced tennis sensation Sania Mirza
as its brand ambassador.
"The company is now going national," said Mr M.P. Ahamed,
Chairman of Malabar Gold, which is one of the largest sellers of
hallmarked gold jewellery in Kerala.
"Sania Mirza is featured in both her current avatar as a tennis
icon and in a never-before glamorous look. These two avatars represent
Malabar Gold: beauty and quality," Mr Ahamed said.
Malabar Gold also announced its expansion plans across the country.
The group will launch its seventh showroom and the first outside
Kerala in Bangalore in April. It plans to open more showrooms in
Mumbai, Delhi and Hyderabad in a phased manner.
