Sri Devkinandan Thakur Ji Maharaj, from Vrindavan, Gujarat, India, the Global President of Vishwa Shanti Sewa Charitable Mission (VSSCM) gave a lecture and a discourse on Srimad Bhagwatham under the auspices of its American Branch.    It was organized from September 13th through September 20th, 2013 at the Jain Center of Southern California.

Shri DevkinandanThakur Ji is a melodious Sankirtanist, a humble humanitarian, optimistic, and orator of Bhgwat Katha, and a Braj vasi who is popularly known as Thakur Ji by the loved ones.  He held the audience spell bound with intermittent laughter of the audience whenever he was cutting jokes on current state of affairs of India, using contemporary culture of India.

The eight day program started with the Radha Ashtami Celebration on September 13, and ended with Dwarika Lila, Sudhama Charithra Parishchit Moksha, Vyas Pujan, and Poornahuti Havan on September 20th.  Maha prasad was served everyday.

Dr. Tarsem Singhal, one of the organizers said that conducting this program brings peace and prosperity in his life, and wished everyone the same.

This program is sponsored by Mrs. and Dr. Manmohan Nayyar, Mrs. and Mr. Avadhesh Agrawal. The main organizers are Dr. Tarsem & Kiran Singhal, Shekhar, & Puspha Agrawal, Arun, & Himani Gandhi, and Dr. Vipin, and Neerja Chaturvedi.   When he announced that his charitable mission needs more space, Mr. Jagdish Chopra, a philanthropist offered his land for that purpose.  The program was also supported by The Stanton Gurudwara, the Valley Hindu Temple, Northridge, Lakhanpal Temple, Chatsworth, and the Irvine Mandir, Irvine.

Mr. Arun Gandhi, one of the Trustees of the VSSCM said, “We are all honored and humbled to serve any opportunity for world peace and are truly excited for this event”.

Vishwa Shanti Sewa Charitable Trust  is a global organization that is focused on encouraging world peace via charitable work and community service based on the ancient knowledge propounded in the Vedas.
