Malhotra brings fashion from Bollywood to LA

Fashion king Manish Malhotra was chief guest at a
glittering ceremony, held at the Tanjore restaurant, Beverly Hills.
The party was hosted by fashion queen Sahiba Chada of Saffron International
in association with Hamilton Brewart Insurance Agency. It was indeed
a bollywood style evening. The modern theme of fashion, lifestyle,
and music was set to energize the 200 plus guests.

The guests started arriving at 7 PM. After cocktails, they were
entertained by lively music by Tushar Bhatia and Shraboni Mukherjee.
As soon as the biggest buzz of the evening, one and only one Manish
arrived, the crowd surrounded him. One could see how people gathered
round him just to get a glimpse of their favorite star.
Known for his different style and his ability to envision a look
for the character, Manish is undoubtedly the fashion guru and an
icon of Bollywood today. Manish has designed for most leading actresses
in Bollywood, but even today one recalls his costume designing for
Urmila Matondkar in the film Rangeela and Juhi Chawla in Swarg.
He has also designed for Shahrukh Khan and other male stars; He
was asked to design clothes for Michael Jackson when he visited
India for a Bollywood show. Manish is a very practical and realistic
person beside so much fame and success. He is a simple person who
envisioned a dream and worked very hard to pursue it. The name Manish
Malhotra has been a brand that is tantamount to luxurious apparels
incorporating the best of traditional Indian, Arabian and contemporary
style.
Sahiba Chada, in her interview said that on last occasion, she
had promised her guests a memorable event and here it was. She further
said that in September she plans to present Manish Malhotra and
his 19 years of film work. In his collection the famous Bollywood
designer will be re-creating the magic of films through his designs.
According to Sahiba, the idea behind the September fashion event
is that each person should be able to take a piece of Bollywood
home with him or her. Brewart said that the whole concept was to
give people a really classy event to be associated with
The guest list for this event included renowned persons of Los
Angeles area. The second part of the lively music was by the famous
brother-sister duo Nauzad and Khushi. The party ended around mid-night.
