I had submitted a representation dated 11-08-09 addressed to the CM to the Chief Secretary, Punjab seeking action against Bibi Jagir Kaur and others for illegally encroaching upon Rs. 50 crores worth Nagar Panchayat land at Begowal Distt. Kapurthala. Unfortunately owing to political pressure the Chief Secretary failed to act in the matter and violators continue to encroach and construct upon the said land. Mr. P.K Verma Information Commissioner has passed an interim order directing the DC Kapurthala to report about the unauthorized construction by the next date of hearing i.e 24-06-10.
