students found dead of a bullet wound

Tummala, 22, MS student in electrical engineering student at Southern
Illinois University Edwardsville's body was found about 8:30 a.m.
Saturday in a car at Sunfish and North Lakes Park. Joggers called
police after seeing a body slumped in a car.
Vikram Kumar Tummala, 27, was found in the lake
when his body surfaced about 11:45 a.m. Monday.
It is believed that Soumya Tummala is related to
Vikram Tummala but they were liveing different addresses in Maryville.
St. Louis County Police Officer Rick Eckhard said:
- It was occurred sometime Friday night or Saturday morning.
Soumya Tummala was found in a passenger seat of a 1995 Ford
Taurus and registered to Vikram Tummala's name.
- We are trying to find out is why these two individuals from
Maryville, Ill. were in area of St. Louis County
The lake is located at 12636 Spanish Pond Road in
the northern part of St. Louis County. The investigation will
continue as the police work with the medical examiner's office,
according to the release.
Sahaja, Soumya’s sister who studies in another
university in Chicago and Venkatram Reddy, son of Mr. Gajanand
Reddy who is a software professional in Portland, Oregon, identified
the girl’s body late on Sunday. Soumya, the second of three
children of late Bhupal Reddy and Hema, was said to be extremely
brilliant at studies. She hailed from Muniyal village in Kadem
mandal of Adilabad district. She did her schooling in Stanley
Girls High School, Abids, and studied Intermediate at Narayana
Junior College. Later, she studied BE (CEC) and went to the USA
in July 2007 for higher studies
The university authorities informed that her body
would be sent to India after completion of formalities.
