Jaspreet Singh, 25, was stabbed to death at a bus stop

NRI Jaspreet Singh, 25, was stabbed to death at
a bus stop in Ilford, Essex, on Saturday morning. Police said
that it happened when Jaspreet and a friend had got off the number
123 bus outside Greggs bakery in Ilford town centre, before walking
to Chapel Road to wait for the number 369 night bus.
At the bus stop, Jaspreet got involved in an argument
with Kamuzu Munroe of Ilford, 19, unemployed youth. Kamuzu became
angree and stabbed Jaspreet and and ran off. Jaspreet was taken
to King George Hospital, Goodmayes, but died from a single stab
wound to the heart.
Kamuzu Munroe, 19, of Ilford was arrested and produced
before the Redbridge Magistrates Court on Monday charged with
the murder.
DCI John MacDonald from the homicide and serious crime command
said: "We believe that there were people at the bus stop
who witnessed the altercation who then got on the 369 bus at around
1am on Saturday, March 31. We need these people to come forward.then
broke out at about 0100 BST
