NRI (non-residnt Indian), Kumar Acharya Vasudevan,
33, from Mumbai jumpedfrom his 10th floor flat and
died in Sharjah. A Chief of Sharjah Police said that
Kumar strangled his 32-year-old wife with a rope and
smothered his little daughter with a pillow as they
slept. He left a note in English, explaining that
he had killed his family and committed suicide.
The police said, "We do not think that it was
financially motivated." He worked for Baskin
Robbins for 13 years and was promoted last month to
training manager. His wife worked as a receptionist
in local company, Dubai.
The neighbours said that they were nice people and
Kumar was hard worker. His work people said he was
normal yesterday when he came to work.
