Judge P P Bhatt refused to grant bail five people- Hitesh Chaudasma,
Chandrakant Daki, Dakesh Shah, Chandrasingh Jadeja and Bhupatsinh
Jadeja who had applied for bail. The five along with six others
including head of Ahmedabad Bharat Bhatt alias Motabhai were
arrested for the murder.
Last year, police had arrested five members of the Swadhyaya
Parivar, a socio-religious movement, for their alleged involvement
in Trivedi's murder in the city June 15, 2006
The persecutor told the court that the five had
conspired for Trivedi’s murder and they should not be granted
bail as they could tamper with the evidence.
