Precautions:

  • To see that someone has gained improper access to your account-just check on Facebook’s Security and Login page, under the tab labeled “Where You’re Logged in,” you can see a list of devices that are signed into your account, as well as their locations.
    • If you see an unfamiliar gadget or a device signed in at an odd location, you can click the “Remove” button to boot the device out of your account.
  • There is no need to change your account password. But to be extra safe, you probably should anyway
  • Facebook offers a security feature called two-factor authentication. It involves text messaging a unique code to your phone that you must type in after entering your password. This way, even if someone gained access to your password, it would be difficult to log in without that code.

Our Survey:

The survey data were obtained by asking all NRIs from North American between the age 20-55 years old. A report of a NRIpress/club survey concluded that 75% NRIs believe:

  • Everyone seemed to be fake with no sensitiveness towards anybody.
  • It's boring and useless. Most of the NRI made up my mind to get over with it, messaged our friends and took numbers to keep in touch via whatsapp.
  • Facebook can be an addiction and there will be a withdrawal period to some extent. Once you get over the incessant yet unnecessary itch to find out what others are up to, it feels great. This may take a day for some times a few weeks
