King Charles III honored Dr. Amritpal Singh Hungin with a knighthood for his outstanding contributions to medicine.
For 2024, Honours list, include 30 NRIs healthcare professionals, philanthropists, and community activists, each celebrated for their unwavering dedication to society.

Professor Pali Hungin, medical professional has amassed over three decades of experience in general practice. His accolades extend beyond clinical work, having served as the founding Dean of Medicine at Durham University and as a former president of the British Medical Association (BMA).

Rishi Sunak, British Prime Minister commended all honorees on the New Year's Honours list. The list including the title of Commander of the Order of the British Empire (CBE)

  • Bestowed upon Staffordshire GP Dr. Chandra Mohan Kanneganti for services to General Practice
  •  Dr. Mala Rao, Senior Clinical Fellow of Imperial College London, for her contributions to public health, the National Health Service (NHS), and equality and diversity.
  • Bidesh Sarkar, Chief Financial Officer at the Department for Business and Trade, also received the prestigious CBE honor for outstanding public service.

The recipients of OBE (Order of the British of Empire) are:

  • Baldev Parkash Bhardwaj, recognized for services to the community in Oldbury, West Midlands
  •  Dr. Dipankar Datta, Chair of the South Asia Voluntary Enterprise, acknowledged for charitable contributions
  • Munir Patel, CEO of XRAIL Group, honored for his efforts in rail exports
  • Dr. Shriti Pattani, president of the Society of Occupational Medicine, celebrated for services to occupational health
  • Rajwinder Singh, Principal Project Sponsor of the Prison Infrastructure Team at the UK's Ministry of Justice, recognized for public service
  • Vinaichandra Guduguntla Venkatesham, CEO of Arsenal Football Club, acknowledged for contributions to sport.

They are chosen for exceptional achievements of individuals across the country, reflecting the highest commitment to selflessness and compassion.
