SGJC (Sikh Gurdwara Judicial Commission) Chairman, Kashmir Singh Patti expelled Bibi Jagir Kaur from the presidentship, the membership of the committee and cannot become a member of any Gurudwara board for at least a period of five years

Bibi Jagir Kaur is responsible and accountable for a loss of nearly Rs 2.5 crore to the SGPC. She used admission Non-Resident Indian (NRI) quota to favours his Akali activists by getting them admission in the five-year MBBS course in 'Shri Guru Ram Dass Institute of Medical Sciences and Research.

The petitioner, Mr Narinderpal Singh, a Ludhiana resident, in 1999, after his daughter failed to get admission in Sri Guru Ram Dass Institute of Medical Sciences and Research against the Non-Resident Indian (NRI) quota, had claimed that a number of students from influential background, including senior Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) leaders got free admission against NRI quota.

Bibi Jagir Kaur, SGPC president said the verdict as "illegal" and she will challenge it in the Punjab and Haryana High Court.
