NRI Mainank Patel,36, was tragically shot and killed during a convenience store robbery in North Carolina, authorities reported. Patel, the owner of the Tobacco House store located on Airport Road, was fatally wounded on Tuesday morning, as detailed by the Salisbury Post.
According to the Rowan County Sheriff’s Office, a juvenile male has been arrested in connection with the crime. Due to the suspect’s age, his identity has not been revealed. The arrest took place on Tuesday evening, but further specifics regarding the incident are still under investigation.

“Around 8:04 pm this evening, investigators with the Rowan County Sheriff’s Office, who have been pursuing leads throughout the day, arrested one male juvenile in connection with this case,” the Sheriff’s Office announced via Facebook.
Following the tragic news, the Rowan County Sheriff’s Office expressed their condolences to Patel’s family, stating, “We are saddened to report that the victim in this shooting, Mainank Patel, has died from his injuries. Our thoughts and prayers go out to the Patel family during this incredibly difficult time.”
