NRI Student killed in New Zealand after car collides with truck

Parminder Singh Jabbal, 27, was killed in a crash, head-on collision between his car and a truck on State Highway 36 between Rotorua and Tauranga, New Zealand. The truck driver was injured in the accident.
Parminder was working as a healthcare worker in Hospital and had been on the way home from a night shift when the crash happened.
His younger brother, Jasneet Singh who resides in Shivaji Nagar, Ludhiana, PB, India, said, “Jabbal's death had come as a shock to his family.”
Jasneet said the family was making an arrangements to bring Jabbal's body back to India, but it might take 10 to 12 days. His brother appealed NRIs for financial aid and arrangements to transport the body to India.
Parminder Singh Jabbal had come to New Zealand three years ago on study visa. His family runs a small business in Ludhiana.
Parminder was happy to become a father. His girlfriend in New Zealand was due to have a baby boy in October, 2018.
Jabbal was the eldest of three children and survived by parents, two younger siblings including a sister.
