by Inder Singh, cousin of the deceased scholar, Pritam Singh

Glowing tributes were paid for his contributions to Punjabi language,
literature and Punjabiyat. Dr. Jasbir Mann who has organized International
conferences on Sikh religion and scriptures, recounted his contributions
and forceful advocacy of Punjabi language in Gurmukhi script.
Mohinder Singh, a prominent speaker on Sikhism and Chief Editor
of India Journal newspaper in California recalled his association
which started from his student days in Sikh National College,
Lahore. He said that Prof. Pritam Singh’s outstanding and
sustained contributions to Punjabi and Sikh Studies were not only
recognized in India but also abroad. He was the “Bhisham
Pitama” of the Punjabi language.
