Dr. Bains had gone to Mississauga to address the Youth Gurmat Camp where 200 young boys and girls were getting a two week training to learn more about the Sikh way of life, Sikh philosophy, history, culture and Sikh heritage. The diaspora organizers also held workshops and classes in a number of subjects including mathematics and science.
Honourable Minister of Government Services Harinder Singh Takhar, Amrit Kaur Mangat Member of Provincial Parliament and Dr Raghbir Singh Bains inaugurated the high Tech “Guru Angad Dev Computer Lab” established by Khalsa School of OKD with donations of Balwinder Singh Lopo for new generation where computer education is to be imparted free of charge so that youth have an edge over the fast changing technology in the world.

The participating students and campers took a pledge not to use drugs.
