Michael De Jong Attorney General British Columbia opens
“BC Opportunity Office” at Chandigarh

British Columbia (Canada) Attorney General Michael De Jong opened the ‘BC Opportunity office’ in partnership with the University of the Fraser Valley at Chandigarh (Punjab-India).
While speaking at the opening ceremony, the Attorney General said, “The provincial government wishes to encourage business and educational partnerships and mutual investment opportunities, as well as identify skilled workers and entrepreneurs who may wish to relocate to BC from northern India. To support this goal we have appointed a B.C. In-Market Business Investment and Skills Liaison representative, based in Chandigarh”. Michael De Jong further said, “We attach great importance to this work in Chandigarh and we are confident that it will strongly advance beneficial business relations between India and British Columbia. We also believe that our presence in Chandigarh will positively augment the work being undertaken by our Trade and Investment Office recently opened in Bangalore”.
