law?
Is 498A a legal terrorism law?
Is 498A used mainly for extrotion of money?
Feb. 28, 2007: More than
20 ,000 Indian husabnds sucides last years
( SOWRY DEATH ) due to thier wives threat
and harrasement against 7000 wives sucides
and all the Wives sucided irrespective
the same for any reason.
The dishonest people had
taken the word as "Dowry death "
and hiding to save thier face and try
to get away from thier own Crime of Blackmailling
and Extrotion of Money my misusing the
498A

- Dear NRI's beware of Indian dowry
laws. I was a recent victim of 498a,
just filed against me for blackmailing purposes.
I then had a stay from high court for stay of
proceedings. But my in-laws bribed police and
the female court judge to issue non bailable
warrants which constitutes a contempt of court
against high court order. Its a shame on our
legal and police system. Lets fight this kind
of extortion and fight to examine 498a section
properly. Lets preserve human rights.--------Chandra

liberal for women , for that we need to give
the women all rights to leave in a safe and
grooming place .unfortunately our society still
needs alot of improvements in this sector .We
have really a powerful law to secure the women
rights by giving IPC Section 498A , but most
of the female not even dare to get into court
to get there rights.They keep facing the mental
trauma given by the grooms family either in
physical or mental apathy.Even if somehow the
bride escapes from the guys house they keep
haunting the girls parents for money n kinds.I
do agree we have some false cases as well however
if we thinking to remove this law we will definetly
land-up in multiple time increase of true dowry
cases which will not be enacted and be given
justice to girls family .The girls will as usual
die silently without even complaining and the
whole family (girls family) will suffer forever.....

- Well spoken. It is called convenience which
suits them. When time and need arises to ask
for help from NRIs all the politicians and people
ask for help but when the time comes to shift
blame and find scapegoats the same finger pointing
also points towards NRIs who are maligned and
biased against and treated as second class citizens

- Amazing!
Every times an NRI or his child achieves something
in the country that he/she lives in, the Indian
newspapers take great pride in claiming that
an Indian achieved something great, and they
have no qualms about expecting the NRI to help
everybody in India.
The NRIs left India in order to better their
prospects in life because they had no political/legal/criminal
connections in India. However, conveniently
ignoring the fact that the NRIs have struggled
hard in the country that they live in to achieve
what they had achieved, the newspapers along
with the politicians are quick to malign the
NRIs at every step in an attempt to shift the
blame for their own misdeeds and to keep the

for the Indian Girl who marry outside India
with foreign national and comes back in India
and files false complaint under section 498A
giving fraudulent statements. They get victims
arrested at Airports and demand big amounts
as extortion in collusion with police Government

The misuse of Indian laws is nothing but rape
of Judiciary and legal system.
- sb repr 10/30/2005 Divorce is a basic human
right. If a NRI is giving maintenance, then
he shold be granted immediate Divorce. The feminist
influence wifes of today are torturing husbands.
The MOIA should make this law immediately. There
should be no question of losing his or her property
simply because the spouce says so. The suggestion
to just take the husbands property and not that
of the wife is ridiculas and one sided. Presently
if a husband refuces to give divorce, Police
in Crime against cell and NCW etc openly threaten
to make a false Dowry , mental cruality case
and send the husband to jail. If wife refuces
to give divorce, then the same is not done.
In absence of any Law even if the CAW or even
NCW come across cases in which clearly the wife
is at fault, they simply can not do anything.
The equality in law for man should be faught
and feninazi's opposed.

This suggestion is simple criminal, and can

that matrimonial discord should be made a criminal
offence. When most wifes are threatening the
husbands to implicate them in false physical
, mental cruality cases. The husband has to
save his life. So just saying the if a husband
abandooms the wife , i.e. is too afraid to live
with her. He should be treated as a criminal.
He citizenship should be cancelled, no way.
He should loose his property, while wife can
keep her property, no way. Lets get justice
to husbands, get them divorce and freeom from
false cases. Save them from physical beatings
by wife and her relatives.

the husband are arrested, their passport taken
under false dowry law complaints. This is a
good way to earn fast money. You should please
step in and stop this extortion and cruality
revenge on innocent NRI relatives of the husband.
For this please make the Dowry law for NRI relatives
of the husbands as bailable. It is sad to see
so many NRI relatives of husbands loosing the
jobs as they can not get the passport back,
so can not go abroad to work. Their wife and
childs life is also greatly destroyed , just
due to wrong laws that punish innocents by non
bailable laws.

got a few more points. Sorry for writing more
then once on this important topic. 1. There
are far far more cases of girls giving misinformation
to get married to NRI. NCW has distorted the
facts and mentioned just about a small number
of cases, and not about the majority of cases
in which NRI's are made a fool. Thus NCW has
delebrately distorted the facts to get wrong
laws passed, which will be harmful the society.
Girls hide serious illness. Hide previous matrimonial
problems with the family girls due to feminist
views. Even hide if she is a divorcee or still
married to someone. feminist influenced mothers
whose marriage had been a constant fighting
with husbands, and harmful to everyone,telling
daughters that no girl can marry if she tells
the truth of her feminist views. So keep quit
agree to everything before marriage, make them
a fool by lies. Once marriage is done we will
threaten them with false cases they will have
to agree to all our wims. 2. A few cases in
which girl are allegedly cheated , we do not
know if this is true as it may be that the husband
has realized it is impossible to live with such
a wife and so left her . Otherwise why would
a man not like to live a happy family life,
why would he give maintenance throughout his
life, can not get divorce and so can not start
a family and have kids. The CAW cells in police
and press distorts this to say he is doing this
for some fun. It is impossible to believe them.
The NCW wants that punishing the husband by
destroying his life by not giving him children,
taking money for maintenance, torturing him
and anyone from his family by false non bailable
mental cruality, torture for asking money from
girls relatives, in most cases the girls family
is being paid by the NRI, but that deos not
make much difference, the law is one sided,
NRI gave Rs 1000 by if girl family gave 100
it is torture of girl to ask for dowry. Anyways
the law does not axist to stop SOWRY, son inlaw
own wealth released to you, torture of the husbands
. They are not satisfied with these laws. NCW
want that to torture him and his mother, father,
sisters married or unmarried, brother or any
other relative as per the wims of the wife’s
parents and police. NCW wants that irrespective
of the facts , who is at fault, the husband
should be punished more and his citizenship
should also be taken from him. If this effects
his job and capability to earn, who cares.If
wife or some of her relatives, or some feminist
NGO want to take revenge, theyshould be allowed
to take the revenge by all sort of false cases.
Even if all the fault is of the wife and her
relatives. This is clearly unethical and harmful
to everyone. So the citizenship of a separated
husband who is already facing so much trouble
should be taken back as per NCW is wrong, and
will almost always result in torture of innocent
NRI’s by legal means. Most countries realize
that it is inhuman to destroy the life of a
person by not giving divorce, so divorce can
be get in these countries in reasonable conditions.
The NRI’s should be warned that it is nearly
impossible to get divore for a man in India,
in reasonable years. If marriage do not work
and mutual divorce by giving lots of money to
the girl side do not work out then false dowry
case has to be faced by the full family, non
bailable . The NCW is talking about misinformation
at the time of marriage by boys, though it happens
that more girls tell false about her marital
status , or if she is a divorcee, or if she
has major illness . and cleaverly mixing the
demand to punish husbands who has not given
false information at the time of marriage. This
is unethical and shameful for a govt. funded
national level organization. Thus trying to
make laws for husbands who were infact misinformed
.

would not marry an Indian. They just not worth
the trouble.

thought provoking, This is heights of feminism.
Is there any other country in this earth hosting
such a gender biased and un-fair law ? There
are 100s of incidents, A girl marries an NRI,
comes to US, after landing says bye bye to husband
and go to her boy friend. How do you make a
law for this ? This is not one incident, there
are several such incidents. How do you do justice
to the boy ? How do you punish such girls ?
Are we blind enough to keep on making biased
laws ? Did you look into US Govt. warning to
NRIs marrying Indian girls ? There are 1000s
of victimised NRIs by 498a to extract money.There
are 1000s of false 498a on cases on innocent
husbands, parents and relatives arrested in
India by a single line complaint by wife. The
basic institute of marriage should run on mutual
trust, if you make laws like this, it will become
NRI-498a. May be it is better to enforce "No
Marriages to NRIs at all", so that there
is no issues at all for you. Just think about
these laws when falling into an evil minded
women ? Are we not giving too much of power
to them ? How can you or your department ensures

I am facing a similar case. My wife is schizophrenic
as well and I have divorced her. However, my
former in laws have filed a dowry and torture
case. What astonishes me is that the law could
be such that without any proof just on allegations
how could a law put all relatives under harassment.I
would like to invite all suggestions how to
get rid of this situation. What is the time
frame?
