False dowry complaints have become a racke
There are growing number of "VISA WEDDINGS"
in which Indian girls dreaming of better life style
or unable to get matrimonial acceptance in India seek
matrimony with non resident Indians (NRI's and PIO's).
Once they get the visa and arrive at the destination
many of these "con artists" resort to tactics
that extract more money from sponsor family to support
their parents back home in India.They also demand
that their family members in India should be sponsored
for "immigrant visa"
They have greater designs and expectations without
any justification - This meant more failures and disappointments.Having
failed to achieve their objects they start misbehaving
in the family and make allegations of harassments
and cruelty to scare in-laws into submission.
False dowry complaints have become a racket with active
support and participation of law enforcing machinery
to extract large sums of money from NRI's and their
parents in India.
These "con artists"having failed to achieve
required results return to India and lodge false criminal
complaints under dowry laws.The law enforcing machinery
immediately grabs this opportunity and go into action.
Parents and Relatives of NRI's (young or old---sick
or nursing---males or females---children or pregnant)
whoever is named by the complainant is rounded up
and jailed without any proof, evidence or investigation.
In the words of one supreme court lawyer in the case
of extradition proceedings in London court she pleaded
that "INDIAN POLICE ARE THE MOST CORRUPT, DISHONEST,
VICIOUS AND MURDEROUS IN THE WORLD".
There are thousands of innocent people in U.S.A. alone
who are suffering from blackmail, extortion and humiliation
at the hands of these unscrupulous girls for the only
"SIN" they committed in marrying Indian
because of blind faith in Indian culture, which no
more exists.
Indian justice system remains blindfolded with runaway
corruption and these cases go for trial for years
without any evidence and witness.It has become multi
million dollar racket in India.
The chief justice of supreme court of India has opined
in one judicial corruption case that if such is the
state of affairs in Indian judicial system, God alone
knows what will happen to India.
Thousands hardworking and respectable young men, their
old parents including other family members are tormented
and destroyed by these
"Con Artists" in collusion with corrupt
law enforcing machinery in India.
The corrupt practises has become an easy tool in Indian
legal system
and is freely used as vehicle for private agenda notably
blackmail and extortion.These tools are used by rogue
elements inside and outside the system to short circuit
the civilised norms and procedures.Wide spread corruption
and abuse of office for private gains has become the
way of life
for civil servants in India
How many persons are aware that "dowry"now
is a very dangerous commodity in India. Many people
do not know the legal risk involved in marriage even
without taking dowry.Many do not know the curses and
horrors of Indian womens protection laws when they
are misused.
These laws are goldmines for law enforcers and lawyers
.Innocent people suffer because of the criminality
that thrives in Indian system.
There are thousands of innocent NRI's in U.S.alone
who are suffering
from blackmail,extortion and humiliation at the hands
of the
unscrupulous spouses for the SIN of marrying Indian
girl.Old parents
of NRI's in India are jailed for the crime they never
committed.NRI's can not return for fear of arrest
The problem is so serious that U.S.state department
has issued advisory to U.S.citizens of Indian origin
warning as under: A number of U.S.citizen men who
have come to India
to marry Indian nationals have been arrested and charged
with crimes related to dowry extraction.
Many of the charges stem from the U.S.citizens inability
to provide an immigrant visa for his prospective spouse
to travel immediately to the United states.
The courts sometimes order the U.S.citizen to pay
large sums of money to his spouse in exchange for
the dismissal of charges.
It is high time that matters are taken up by Ministry
of External Affairs Government of India for investigation
and punishing the guilty.Enough evidence is available
at U.S.consulates and Indian courts.......Gope
