Delhi man held for robbing NRI by putting sedatives in his coffee

The police arrested Harpreet Singh 23, from Tilak Nagar, New Delhi and looking his brother Bhupinder alias Vijay and his brother-in-law Deep Kakkar alias Beenu who put sedatives in Narender Singh Tuli’s coffee. When NRI became un consciousness, they threw him out of the car in Panipat after robbing him of his expensive mobile phone, credit card and other belongings. Vijay and Beenu are not arrested yet.

On Feb. 15, 2007, NRI Narender Singh Tuli headed by bus from the ISBT to Gurdaspur when Harpreet Singh became very friendly to Narinder. They told him that they were also going to Gurdaspur and offered him a lift to Gurdaspur.

NRI, Narender agreed and all three of them boarded the car at Mukarba Chowk. After crossing the Haryana-Delhi border, the one person offered Narinder cold coffee. NRI accepted coffee, drank and fell unconscious.

Israna Police found NRI, lying on the roadside and took to the hospital. North West Delhi police registered the case and began investigation.

Harpreet Singh along with brother started to use the credit card to buy expensive mobile phones, watches and clothes. The Delhi police got some tips about these persons and started raids in Uttam Nagar, Dabri and Tilak Nagar.
