When crime branch officials contacted Reddy, she requested the police to stop further inquiries and close the case. "We would inform her parents who can get in touch with her. As far as we are concerned, Reddy is safe and sound in Bangalore," said Luthra. The missing case was registered with the New Delhi district on October 4 at the request of Reddys father. The case was later transferred to the crime branch which formed a special team under inspector Girish Kumar. According to Reddys father, his daughter had reached the Delhi international airport on October 1. From there she called up her husband in London and her father claiming she had to attend a training programme. She was in touch with her father till October 4. During the investigation, police learnt that Reddy had lied. On scrutinising her cell phone record, the police found that Reddy had not made any call from near the airport. When the video film recorded at the airport was scanned, the police noticed Reddy with a person. Later inquiries were made at Christ College, Bangalore from where Reddy
had completed her graduation. "She was still in touch with some of
her friends there. Our team contacted these friends who subsequently revealed
her whereabouts," Luthra added. UK, NRI woman missing from New Delhi, Le Meridien Hotel
