A 40-year-old NRI woman, Shamim Qader, went missing from Juhapura under
mysterious circumstances. Shamim left her kin's place in Juhapura at
around 3.30 pm on Sunday saying she was going out to buy some clothes
for herself and never returned. A complaint was registered at the Vejalpur
police station on Thursday by her husband Parvez Qader.
However, till Friday evening, cops had no inkling about the woman's
whereabouts or the reason behind her disappearance. That Shamim was
wearing a lot of gold ornaments when she went missing has concerned
both her family members and the police.
According to ASI B H Prajapati of Vejalpur police station,who is investigating
the case, the couple stay in London where Parvez operates an ancillary
unit associated with the postal department.The couple had arrived in
Ahmedabad in the last week of October to attend a relative's marriage.
With practically nothing to start investigations on, cops focused on
the cellular phone of Shamim.
