SHEILA DIKSHIT GOVERNMENT'S ANTI-PEOPLE STANCE SET TO COST IT DEARLY:HIT
Chandigarh November 26, 2008
S. Avtar Singh Hit, BJP-SAD candidate from Rajouri Garden Assembly
Constituency today said that by shirking from full statehood's promise,
nexus with power distribution companies and blue line mafia, pitiable
law and order situation and gross misappropriation of developmental
funds, the Sheila Dikshit led government in Delhi has itself ensured
the pack up of this most corrupt and inefficient government forced
on the people of Delhi.
Addressing a series of election rallies in Khayala, Vishnu Garden,
Tagore Garden and Mukharjee Park areas of Rajouri Garden constituency
S. Hit dared congress party to come clean on these issues as the
people of Delhi had already made their mind to install BJP-SAD government
in the National Capital due to this combine's credibility and efficiency
tested on time to time.
S. Hit said that Sheila Dikshit Government by denying full statehood
to the people of Delhi had itself established that it was not competent
enough to keep law and order situation under control and it has
a lack of confidence to rein in Delhi police despite looting the
people of Delhi for a long period of ten years. Commenting on the
pitiable situation of law and order in the state, S. Hit said that
the life for senior citizens and ladies have become a nightmare
in the city due to constant rise in crime against these two most
vulnerable sections of the society.
He further said that the blue line mafia under the patronage of
present Congress government has made the life of Delhi residents
miserable. Pick pocketing, eve teasing, molestation of ladies, harassment
of senior citizens besides over charging along with misbehaviour
by the unruly bus conductors and drivers of this 'notorious bus
service' were ruling the roost in every local bus and the Congress
government was continuing its 'who cares' approach, S. Hit added.
S. Hit said that private electricity distribution company BSES
by submitting a wrong affidavit in collusion with present congress
government had raised the electricity tariff thrice in last five
years without having any statutory power thereby putting a heavy
burden on the general public which was already suffering due to
high increase in the costs of essential commodities through artificial
inflation created by the economists duo of our Prime Minister and
Finance Minister.
S. Hit also demanded a substantial decrease in the cost of petroleum
products as the price of crude oil in International market already
dipped $147 to $ 40 per barrel.
S. Hit expressed confidence that the people of Delhi would fully
support and vote for BJP-SAD combine to teach present congress government
a lesson for its anti-people especially anti poor stance in last
two terms.
MAJITHIA DEMANDS WHITE PAPER ON INFLATION
Chandigarh November 26, 2008
Patron of Youth Akali Dal and Punjab's Youngest Cabinet Minister
S. Bikram Singh Majithia today charged that inflation was artificially
enhanced by the Congress party to benefit certain industrial houses
and Multinational Companies (MNC) for a consideration.
While addressing a number of election rallies in favour of S.
Avtar Singh Hit BJP-SAD candidate from Rajouri Garden Assembly Constituency
,S. Majithia demanded a white paper on inflation, its reasons, its
beneficiaries and its impact on the households of ordinary Indian
citizens. He said that the time has come that people should know
how few people in government and industry joined hands to raise
prices of essential goods. He said that every decision to regulate
and restrict the flow of such goods was taken at highest level to
benefit certain big industrial houses.
He said that UPA government stooped so low that it created artificial
shortage of commodities to keep their prices high in the domestic
market. The concerned Ministries also cooperated with the industrial
lobbies to calibrate import or export of commodities in order to
maintain their high prices in the country at every cost.
Accusing UPA government for collectively looting the country to
the tune of thousands of crores, S. Majithia said that a high level
commission headed by a sitting Supreme Court Judge should also be
set up to investigate the whole scam of artificial inflation and
to nail its major beneficiaries and their patrons.
S. Majithia urged the intelligent voters of Delhi to whole heartedly
support and vote for BJP-SAD alliance candidates to unseat the present
corrupt and inefficient Sheila Dikshit Government to usher in an
era of balanced and over all development in the national capital
besides for creation of a transparent and efficient government fully
committed to the cause of the betterment of general public.
