THE Sikh Nation Organisation (SNO) stir against the French turban ban has got more response with the Dharam Parchar Committees of the Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC) and the Delhi Sikh Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (DSGPC) pledging support to the SNO’s programme to wear kesri head gear on Thursday and to hold public protests on the issue from February 25 to March 25.

Dr Manjit Singh Randhawa, president of the SNO, here today said that earlier, on an understanding reached between the DSGPC and the SNO, a joint rally was organised on January 5 at Jantar Mantar chowk in New Delhi and a memorandum was submitted to the French ambassador to India to lodge protest of the Sikh community on the ban on wearing of religious symbols in the schools in France.

Dr Randhawa said in different telephonic messages the SNO movement had been assured of the active participation of the Sikh Sangat in its ongoing global movement
