Singer Satinder Sartaaj won the hearts of the Los Angeles audience

“Sufi Qalam’s Sirtaj “Satinder Sartaj”  Dressed like Warish Shah mesmerizes the City of Angels audience Sunday night at the famous  Orpheum Theatre. The Orpheum Theatre - one of L.A.'s most venerable landmarks. From a young Judy Garland's 1933 vaudeville performance to a recent filming of the hit TV show "American Idol", this renowned venue has hosted an array of theatrical productions, religious events, concerts, weddings, film festivals, seminars, private parties, variety shows, awards shows, movie shoots, music video shoots, television show and commercial shoots.

About 1500  people attended the concert and it was a big success for program. He touched every young heart with songs like “Geet bandey ne udon ithas mitra,  jadon satt lagi hove” “Dil Pahlan jiha nahi rehay eh kathor hogaya” He sang folk songs like “Sucha, Mirja style, Dhamal, Boliyan” “Purson Amb te mai bathian Chiriyan bula laiyan”  “Sanu na kuj ho jave duava Kardi Ami” “Royaa na karo ne dubjanio”  All the  supporting musicians were out standing.

Satinder  performamed like a very well established singer with great comfort. In spite few people who  were able to sneak  booze (Hard Drink) in water bottles, the show was extremely family oriented.  Magnificent audience applaud every song, Congratulations to the organizers; Sumanjit, Baljit, Shan, Raj and Sanjay.  Iqbal Mahal, a well known radio and TV show anchor who is doing a great service from last 25years due to his love for Punjabi culture. He came all the way from Toronto and started the show by introducing Satinder Sartaj who took the stage about 8pm and did not leave the stage till 11:00 pm  except a short cha(Tea)  break.

Satinder who gave himself the title of “Sirtaj” when he wrote a song ending with 'Tere SirTaareyan Da Taj Ve' And he actually got the award “Sufi Qalam da Sirtaj” few years later in Dubai.  

He is very well connected to the mysticism of Baba Farid, Bulle Shah, Sultan Bahu and  Shah Hussian. Sartaaj Says “Sufi Music connects him with “God"

"SARTAJ means -SiDQ,RAZA,TALAB,JAZBAAT"...And he showed all these qualities in this show.
