of USA. The album caters to all music lovers of Indian origin
who have made a home away from home. Khushi along with her brother
Nauzad have been very popular & celebrated vocal performers
in USA for past 3 years.
Khushi is the prolific significant half of the
sensational brother-sister singing duo of USA – Nauzad
& Khushi. In her young life, Khushi has made commendable
achievements with her enviable talents ranging from singing,
acting, dancing and modeling.
Khushi as a dancer, has undergone three years
of professional training in Western Dance at Shiamak Daver Institute
of Performing Arts, a world-renowned dance institute in India
and Canada and consistently winning Best Dancer awards in several
shows organized by the institute.
Khushi as an actress; has both, education and
performances. In 2005 Khushi came to USA to study Acting in
Theatre Arts in University of California. She says “Theatre
in my opinion is a highly imaginative medium that stimulates
the creativity and visualization of an artist. Ever since I
can remember, I have always wanted to be a part of the magical
world of Theatre where I could portray my talents in acting,
music and dance on a single platform. I would love to amalgamate
the traditions and ethnic flavors of India and the western culture
in my future initiatives.”
Khushi’s acting talents have also been displayed
through a variety of acting projects such as college theatre
productions & leading roles in independent films such as
Hollywood movie preview ‘Dream of Consciousness’
directed by Jamodi Robinson. The preview ran in all of the AMC
theatres across the US during May 2007 and the response was
positive. She has also performed the leading role in an NRI
untitled Hindi movie which is directed by New Jersey based director
Mr. Hyder Bilgrami.
Khushi as a model, recently completed a TV commercial

ad filmmaker Prahlad Kakar. “It was an amazing experience
working with Prahlad sir and his crew. He is such a disciplined
and an organized man to work with.” She has also worked

and Yasmin Fashions. Khushi has also participated in the Miss

For Khushi, 2009 started with a successful New

near Disneyland. She also celebrated her birthday which happens
to be on January 1st. “There is no better birthday celebration
than performing at your own New Years show with family members.”
The show was the most talked about New Years event in the Los
Angeles area. About 400 people turned up for this spectacular
event which boasted of celebrities such as popular Bollywood
music composer Jatin (of Jatin-Lalit fame). “We plan on
doing many such New Year events in the future and I’m
sure that they will be equally successful.”
On January 26th, 2009, the NBA & the Los Angeles
Clippers commemorated India's Republic Day with a tribute game
between the LA Clippers & the Portland Trailblazers at the
Staples Center, Los Angeles with close to 14,000 spectators
filling in the magnificent stadium. Khushi & Nauzad featured
in an uproarious vocal performance of ‘Om Shanti Om’
in the post game festivities. The American mainstream audience
loved the energetic performance by the duo & gave them a
wonderful ovation. “It was an honor & privilege to
perform at the prestigious Staples Center. It was indeed a historic
day for Indians in USA.”
Khushi has always made an attempt to contribute to the society
with numerous charitable societies by participating in dramas
and musical concerts for non-profit organizations like the Zoroastrian
Association of California (ZAC), Federation of Indian-American
Associations and the Lions Club of Little India.
With tons of talent, Khushi’s next step
should be to make it big in the tinsel town of India, Bollywood.
