Gurdeep Grewall is an excellent singer with a very melodious
God-gifted voice. She has inherited it from her father. She always
enthralles the audience with her singing.
She was born and raised in East Africa where her parents emigrated
from India in the 1940's. Her passion for music started while
enrolled in elementary school in Dar-es-Salaam, Tanzania. Her
father's poetic writings, both in Urdu and Punjabi, influenced
her greatly in the appreciation of melody and lyrics. At the age
of fourteen she started singing a capella at open air fairs and
continued singing through her high school years.

After arriving in the United States, she achieved her life long
ambition of performing live on stage shows, organized by community
groups in California. It was a natural progression for her to
train in classical music anNorton Installation Filesd dance. Her zealous passion for music
has led her to the release of this compact disc.
This album is dedicated to her mother, Gurdev K. Pardesi, who
always had a staunch faith in her daughter's talent, and to her
late father, Gurbachan S. Pardesi, who used to tell her, "Singing
cleans away your frustrations and makes you healthy, happy and
beautiful".
She attributes her success to her faith in God and the immense
encouragement and support she received from her son Aminder, her
daughter, Sharondeep, and her brother Amar Pardesi. She is also
grateful to the countless friends who assisted her in this endeavor.
Ms. Grewall currently lives with her children in Los Angeles.
