NRI Deepa Mehta attended Oscars 2007 with stars John Abraham and Lisa Ray

I had the privilege to attend the Oscars 2007 last night with my husband Jag and my sister Rani. It was quite the beautiful night with beautiful people.
I got many great pictures of Hollywood celebrites. My highlight of the evening though, had to be when John Abraham and Lisa Ray stepped onto the red carpet. She looked absolutely stunning and was very gracious to pose for some pictures for me. John, of course, looked very handsome and Deepa Mehta remained alongside dressed in a nice red and gold sari.

They were there to represent the movie "Water" directed by Deepa Mehta which was nominated for the Foreign Language category. Unfortunately, they didn't win. But the bright side is that our Indian community keeps maintaining a presence in Hollywood by putting out great films. Keep it up!
