The Vijay Amritraj Foundation has yet another successful evening
at the 2008 Gala Banquet

On the evening of Saturday, October 18th, 2008, from the beautiful hall at The Beverly Wilshire hotel located in Beverly Hills, California, money was raised by The Vijay Amritraj Foundation with the mission to bring hope, help and healing to the defenseless and innocent victims of disease, tragedy and circumstance in India.

Guests paid $500 per ticket to enjoy the program which was hosted by Alan Wilkins, included gourmet dinner, drinks, & a live concert by singer Sonu Nigam. Mr. Vijay Amritraj, the founder, spoke of the foundations importance and of the accomplishments due to the considerable donations that have been made. There was a presentation of Vijay Amritraj Awards to Former President’s George H.W. Bush and William Clinton, American Airlines, and Sony Entertainment Television Asia. A special thanks was also given to Manoj Kaytee at Super Entertainment Inc. which has been a leader in Indian entertainment and in the promotion of over 50 Bollywood shows in Los Angeles.

The evening also held a live auction with items such as jewelry from Highglow Jewelers, a trip to Delhi with luxury accommodations thanks to InterContinental & American Airlines. There was also an auction of a trip to Wimbeldon 2009 that included air, hotel, tickets to Wimbeldon on Monday, June 22nd, and dinner with tennis superstar himself Vijay Amritraj.

Sonu Nigam did not disappoint with his amazing voice and brought the crowd to their feet.
