India Association of Southern California celebrated republic day of India on Jan 16th 2015 at Haveli Restaurant in city of Artesia. Kamini khare along with executive committee members and with many community leaders and guests put on great show of Republic day of India representing one India with many color full bloom representing diversity of rich culture & traditions.
The event started around 6.00 pm with warm welcome by president of the organization Mr. Atul Makhwan and founder and chair women Kamini Khare. She introduced all the committee members. Nila parikh, Charu Shivkumar, Amarjeet Dhamija, Anjana patel, Dipal Makhwana,Ravjibhai patel are the organizing committee members. They all gave their best to make event more colorful. Charu took the lead to start the festive procession to mark the day with much significance like Makar Shankrat and festival of Lodi. Many children and all the committee members with guest marched in parade around the parking lot while most famous song of freedom era Aao bacho thume Dikhai Jhaki Hindustan Ki. By this time magic of tri color of the flag has taken over the audience. They were all singing along and time to time screaming Bande Matram and Jai hind.
Next Ranjit Vishanath invited guest Manish Makam, Mr. Samra, Dr. Dhamija and all executive members for flag ceremony. American and Indian national anthem was sung. Cultural program started with Ganesh Bandana dance by Meera, Jasmine and Yana students of sri Shakti shared Kala Niketan Dance school of Vijaya Bhanu followed by group dance madly number students of letz danz Academy of Deepa by Disha, Anipriya,Anvi, Anya,Aditi, Diya,Jiya,Disha and Hrutva.They ended dance madly moment with highlighting ham hai India wale. It was great performance
Students of savitri Arts Academy of Dr. Sinduri Jinisha, Madhu, and Lassya also staged their classical dance talent. Assembly man Mr. Tony Mendoza graced the event with his presence with other assembly man of city of Artesia. Mr. Ramesh Mahajan delivered massage of republic day and importance of community involvement in democratic process in America. Mr. Mendoza presented community service appreciation plaque to Mr. Mahajan on behalf of IASC.After the dance program Amarjeet Dhamija took the stage and introduced local talented singer Smita das, Dr. Sadani, Dr Dhamija and Veena. They dazzled the audience with new and old hit songs. Evening ended with dancing on DJ music. As always India Association of CA brought together every one and had celebrated the republic day with great sprite of national pride
Republic day is most festive day for every Indian people. This day India become free republic in Jan 26 1948 and gave right to become citizen of free India. India is getting ready to celebrate this occasion with great pride pompous and ready to welcome president Obama as his chief guest of honor.
