Dilip Butani was unanimously re-elected as President of the Federation
of Indian American Associations of Southern California. Prakash
Pancholi will be the Chairman, while Ramesh Bhatt and Dr. Chandra
Khetani will be the Executive Vice-Presidents.
The other team members are Vishakha Purandare, Secretary: Siddharth
Pathak;Treasurer, Payal Pancholi VP-Community Services; Dr. Sindhuri
Jayasingha, VP-Cultural; Atul Ghadiali, VP-Public Relations; Ram
Talsidar, VP-Planning; Earth Shah, VP-Youth; Minaxi Bhatt, VP-Operations
and Sunil Kansara, Joint Secretary.
Joy Dhokia will be the Legal Counsel while members of the Board
of Advisors will be Ukabhai Solanki, Venkatesh Hegde, Sam Trivedi,
Dr. Asha Rangnekar Knott and Amit Anand.
Federation is the parent Organization of Indian-American Associations.
The various activities organized by FIA include celebration of Republic
Day function, India Independence Day Mela, Health Camps and various
service oriented programs.
Dilip Butani is also the Co-founder and Past-President of Lions
Club of Little India, the only Lions Club exclusively of the Indian
Community in USA. At present he is the Chairman of the Board of
Directors. Other positions held by Dilip include Executive Vice-President
of FFICS-The Forum for India Community Services and Director, Public
Relations and Media of SABAN and Member of Assemblyman Tony Mendoza's
South Asian Advisory Board. FFICS is a volunteer run charitable
organization, dedicated to providing emotional and financial support
to the needy at the time of death of the loved ones and also to
cover some part of funeral expenses and related rituals. SABAN is
a business networking group created in 1998 to promote and develop
South Asian Business activities in the Southern California area
for small and large businesses.
Prakash Pancholi is the Executive Committee/Board member of IASH,
SABAN, Saarthi Yoga Foundation. He is also the Director-At-Large
of SABAN and is on the Advisory Committee of OC President Circle.
